Fans Hate Kim Kardashian as Diana Ross (Pictures)

Taking a break from her normal demanding job of posting pictures of herself in bathing suits to her Twitter account, Kim Kardashian shared photos of herself done up to look like Diana Ross. And the reactions have not been kind.

The 31-year-old "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star underwent the makeover for a photo shoot with photographer Hype Williams on Thursday. "Clyde Haygood and Joyce Bonelli glammed me up, and we went for a fun, crazy look, channeling Diana Ross," wrote Kardashian on her blog. "Definitely a new look for me."

But people haven't exactly been embracing the look. "I don't see Diana Ross in this shot at all," writes Yahoo! commenter Derrick D. "She looks more like a Beyonce impersonator." Ffoenyx notes, "I rarely comment on a Kardashian, but this is just effin awful. She looks a mess. And the idea that someone like her would even dare to 'channel' someone who has a real talent and real career is just sad and pathetic."

From Instagram: "She still looks dumb. Tacky. And wack. Goodbye."

"@kimkardashian i bet you didnt "Love" this hair before Kanye... #wannabe .... If i were Diana Ross, id be offended."

"How Dare you insult her by taking this pic. I bet Kanye made u do it. So sicko probably has a thing for Ms.Ross.........dont even try it buddy!!!!!!!"

"Maybe with less makeup it could work @kimkardashian"

"You look like a witch"

And even from a Kardashian fan blog: "That makeup is terrible Kim. Sorry, its not good at all! Its like clown makeup."

For the transformation into the Supremes icon, Kardashian's hair was curly and wild. Her eyelids were heavily dusted with a light blue shadow while her lips and cheeks were both painted in a soft pink. She was dressed completely in black, including studded leather pants.

This isn't the first time Kardashian collaborated with Williams for a shoot. He photographed the reality TV star for her Playboy spread in 2007. He's also worked with Kardashian beau Kanye West, directing the video for his song "All of the Lights."

Kardashian's been hitting Twitter hard as of late, maybe to gain some extra encouragement from fans, as the reality TV fixture is still dealing with nasty divorce proceedings stemming from her 72-day marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries.

The attorneys of both stars were in court Wednesday, but it appears the two camps have yet to make substantial progress on the divorce proceedings. Humphries' lawyer accused Kardashian's camp of not being exactly helpful and was thus delaying the discovery process.

Marshall Waller told the judge "I don't want to use the word uncooperative, but they are not making the process easier," Waller added that he needs at least four months to get ready for trial.

Kardashian's attorney Laura Wasser fought back; claiming that not only have they been co-operative, but they have also spent at least $250,000 on the case so far and that they would be passing that onto the basketball star, clearly a serious sum for the millionaire, who recently spent $100,000 on a self-flushing toilet for her home.

"To say I am frustrated is an understatement," Laura Wasser told the judge. I'm at a loss to figure out what the holdup is. They had a prenup and were married 72 days. To what end does he want this annulment?"

According to Humphries, his Kardashian was defrauding him by marrying him solely for TV ratings and publicity.

Kim's mom, Kris Jenner has also added her views on the whole issue, "[Kim's] really good with her intuition and she's usually - well, she hasn't been so right lately," she said on Bethenny Frankel's talk show last June. "What's a measly 72 days?"

Contrary to views that Kim wants the divorce to enable her marry rapper Kanye West, she refutes such claims; "Kris is the first person I ever had to break-up with and that f**ked with my emotions."

"He told our producers he would destroy my career and me if the show wasn't edited right."

Sounds stressful - we're betting on a lot more Twitter oversharing.
