"Fifty Shades of Grey" is not the only erotic novel out these days.
"Anything He Wants: Dominated by the Billionaire" by Sara Fawkes has caught the eye of many readers. It recently was acquired by publisher St. Martin's Press, receiving a print and e-book deal.
According to the press release, Fawkes self-published the first four installments of the serialized eBook between May and July 2012, and in just three months, sold hundreds of thousands of copies and hit the USA Today bestseller list.
"Anything He Wants" is an erotic thriller about an office temp who is seduced by the billionaire CEO of her company, drawing her into a deadly game of corporate espionage.
The book is described:
"DOWN ON HER LUCK
Lucy Delacourt's temp position isn't quite her dream job but it pays the bills...barely. The highlight of her day is riding the elevator in the mornings: she always manages to time it so that she sees the handsome stranger every day. He's fuel for her fantasies and way out of her league, but a girl can look, right?
BUT NOT FOR LONG
Everything changes however the day the handsome stranger seduces a stunned Lucy, first in the elevator then again in the parking garage after work. Completely out of character, she yields without a fight, but she has no idea her wanton acts with a man whose name she doesn't know will start a sensual chain of events that forever change her life. Because the sexy stranger is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries, and one taste of the hot little temp isn't near enough to satisfy his need.
The billionaire has big plans for the wayward temp, plans that have nothing to do with filing paperwork..."
The first installment is only 8,100 words, but packs a great storyline about, of course, sex and relationships. The stories range in length from 28-52 pages.
The initial installment of "Anything He Wants" was priced at .99 cents, and the next three for $2.99.
The books can be purchased at AllRomanceBooks.com, Barnes & Nobles, Kindle, and Kobo.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the books have appeared on USA Today's top-150 bestselling books list. The first installment is currently no. 3 on Amazon's fiction erotica list and no. 37 on its romance list.
The serialized ebooks has gotten rave reviews on GoodReads.com:
"Considering that this was supposed to be an erotic fantasy (as that is what most erotic short stories are) I think it was fantastic. I love the story and am currently enjoying the second one. Ms. Fawkes is a talented writer and while I would have loved to see it all put together in a novel also, the breaking it down into pieces is brilliant as it keeps up the suspense and intrigue. It keeps you coming back for more."
"So Hot it nearly singed my iPhone. I love it when a man chases his desire and this certainly doesn't disappoint."
"I thought that part 3 was fantastic. The storyline is progressing well and providing the readers with some nice backstory on the main characters. The end of this installment has me chomping at the bit for part 4 to see what happens next."
St. Martin's will publish the fifth and final installment as an ebook in September with a print book to follow.
