Every "Hunger Games" fan wants to know who will play the role of Finnick Odair from District 4.
Many contenders have been reportedly up for the role.
"Grey's Anatomy" star Jesse Williams, 31, has said to be up for the role and was a big fan favorite, but recently he revealed that he will not be Finnick.
"That sail has shipped RT @SimranC_1D: @iJesseWilliams In Hunger Games everytime I picture Finnick, I see you! Xxx," Williams tweeted on his page.
Sam Claflin, 26, was said to actually have the role, which wasn't confirmed by Lionsgate and the filmmakers of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."
Claflin is best known for playing Kristen Stewart's childhood sweetheart, William, in "Snow White and the Huntsman." He also played Philip in "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
In July, Zap2it reported that their reliable sources said that the British actor has claimed the role of Finnick Odair. The producer, Nina Jacobson, and Lionsgate have signed off on Claflin's order, and now he just has to accept the role.
Finnick is a crucial role in the upcoming movie. He becomes a key player in Katniss' life, especially after he saves Peeta from drowning in the Quarter Quell. He's muscular, tan and blonde-haired, and he helps the rebellion by appearing in rebel propos and revealing political secrets of the Capitol.
Another front-runner for the role of Finnick is "Glee" star Grant Gustin. He is the latest to try out for the role of Finnick in the film adaption from Suzanne Collins' bestselling novel.
Gustin, 22, admitted to ET Canada that he did try out for the role, but admitted that the filmmakers have yet to work out what kind of actor they want to portray Finnick. Gustin did not confirm that he was given the role.
"I have auditioned for the role," Gustin told ET Canada. "I don't think [the producers] know what they're looking for just yet, but yes, I auditioned for the role."
Hunter Parrish, 25, who is probably best known for his role in the Showtime series, "Weeds," is said to be the best candidate for playing the role of Finnick.
"Hunter's not hiding his desire to play Finnick Odair in 'Catching Fire' after losing out on the role of Peeta to Josh Hutcherson," reported Pop Sugar. "Hunter, who says he's a big fan of the book series, told us he'll "be there" in a heartbeat if he's offered the role."
In June, Parrish spoke to MTV News about the rumor of him playing the part, "I think you just kind of step back, and if it happens, it happens. I'm not going to really spend too much time thinking about it, but I'd love to... I'm a fan of the books. I think there's fantastic actors that would probably be better. So there's that for getting me a job!"
Other stars connected to the role include "The Social Network" Armie Hammer, "Tron: Legacy" Garrett Hedlund, and "Friday Night Lights" Taylor Kitsch.
