In recent rumors surrounding who will play Anastasia Steele in the hotly anticipated movie "Fifty Shades of Grey," Emma Watson was reportedly in talks with producers to play the key role.

According to the New York Daily News, Watson is in talks with producers. "The actress is a hot favorite to be chosen by producers Mike de Luca and Dana Brunetti."

However, Watson spoke to Entertainment Weekly on Monday and denied the rumors that have been circulating out of control.

"I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing," Watson tells EW. "There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with 'The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' - I never even saw a script!"

The actress said for just because there are many articles about her linked to the movie doesn't mean they are true. "The thing is I'm not going to go out there every time someone attaches me to a film to say no or release a statement," Watson said.

The steamy "Fifty Shades" trilogy, written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, through an "agreement," and both explore the world of BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, masochism).

Another star who also denied rumors was "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard. Although a fan favorite, the vampire actor said that he is not in the running to play the key role of Christian.

Skarsgard sat down during a HBO panel at Comic-Con 2012 San Diego. He revealed that he has not heard any news on the film adaption of E.L. James' steamy novel, nor has been offered a casting part as Christian Grey.

"I haven't read the book and I haven't seen a script," said the "True Blood" actor.

So much for fans getting excited that the movie cast is coming along. But readers of the erotic novel already know which stars they want to play Anastasia and Christian.

"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke, "Gilmore Girls" star Alexis Bledel, "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder, and "White Collar" star Matt Bomer are just some of the popular actors/actresses that have been linked to the two steamy roles.
