"Fifty Shades of Grey" movie is coming to the big screen soon, but that's not the only thing that is going to be shown. Now, there's an ad campaign.
Andrew Marc's upscale brand division Marc New York based the fall 2012 ad campaign on the erotic novel, written by bestselling author E.L. James. The ad features 2012 "Celebrity Apprentice" contest and 2008 Miss Universe winner Dayana Mendoza and former Scottish rugby player Thom Evans.
The shot captures the two in quite a suggestive pose with Mendoza's dress unzipped in the back and Evan sporting nothing but a towel on. Some fans might picture the ad as a scene with main characters of the steamy novel, Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
According to Women's Wear Daily, the ads will run in the September and October issues of Glamour and People Style Watch magazine, as well as digital and outdoor venues.
According to the Daily Mail, this isn't the first time that "Fifty Shades" has inspired the fashion industry.
Bespoke tailors Norton & Townsend launched a Fifty Shades of Grey collection just last week, with a staggering 200 shades of grey suits ranging from Gregarious Grey, Glamorous Grey and Grown-up Grey to Generous Grey, Guilty Pleasure Grey and Gentle Grey.
The tailor's said they wanted to tap into the women who have fallen for Christian Grey's dapper and suave sense of style, and all the men in envy of the fictional character's suited and booted look.
