The hope of "Twilight" stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson staying together after Stewart cheated on him is not looking so good.
People Magazine confirmed that Pattinson, 26, recently moved out of the Los Angeles home that the couple shared.
"I'm not sure they'll be able to recover from this," a source said of the couple of three years, who met making the Twilight trilogy in 2008.
In seclusion and not in contact with Stewart, 22, the British star "is heartbroken and angry," said the source.
"Kristen really loves Rob more than anything," said an insider. "He's all that matters to her right now."
Stewart issued a public apology with People Magazine, saying, "I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Stewart said in a statement Wednesday."
Sanders, 41, is married to British Vogue model Liberty Ross, 33, and has two children with her, ages 7 and 5.
He issued a statement of his own, saying, "I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," Sanders told PEOPLE in an exclusive statement. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
On July 19, Stewart put on a brave face when she stepped out in the daylight just two days after cheating on Pattinson. The New York Daily News reported that the actress, dressed casually, was spotted looking somber with dark circles forming under her eyes. She even pled with reporters to leave her in peace.
Stewart is also reportedly planning to send a separate mea culpa to Ross, who coincidentally played her mother in "Huntsman," reported the Daily News.
Fox News reported that Pattinson and Stewart were seen fighting backstage at the Teen Choice Awards last Sunday night, just days after her "momentary indiscretion" with Sanders.
"Rob and Kristen were having a long and intense conversation backstage, and he looked miserable, heartbroken and humiliated. She was pleading," a source told Page Six.
"Rob is deeply in love with Kristen and is very jealous when other men hit on her. This will crush him," the source told the Post.
The Huffington Post reported that some suggested Stewart's public apology was simply her attempt to communicate with Pattinson, who may not be answering her phone calls.
