The race to find the perfect Christian Grey is heating up as fans are screaming out their favorite male stars to play the key role in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.
Actor Colin Egglesfield is now said to be in the running for the Christian, who sparks every woman's love button when they read the steamy novel, "Fifty Shades of Grey," written by bestselling author E.L. James.
"Why do you think I would be Christian? What are you saying? Are you saying I have a devious sexual side that I need some therapy to help treat?" Egglesfield laughed with Access Hollywood at the Monte Carlo Television Festival in Monaco on Friday.
"Is that what you're saying? Because I could do it," he added of the Christian Grey role. "I think I could do it."
Egglesfield said he hasn't read the book yet, but he will.
"It's on my reading list," he added.
Egglesfield stars in "The Client List" with actress Jennifer Love Hewitt. He recently told US Weekly, "[I want] a girl who doesn't complain, who appreciates things and says thank you." He also said he wants a woman who knows how to cook.
It doesn't seem like Anastasia Steele complains about Christian in the bedroom, so maybe Egglesfield can be up for the crucial role.
"Fifty Shades of Grey" tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, through an "agreement," and both explore the world of BDSM (bondage, dominance, submission, masochism).
Fans of the book already picture Egglesfield as Christian. One commenter on the Books & Review website said, "Colin Egglesfield!!! For Christian Grey. He is the total package to play the part of Christian Grey."
Recently, "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles was put on the "Christian Grey train" of actors to play the essential role.
Also, "Dancing with the Stars" William Levy recently said he has already read the book.
"I like the book, actually," he said. "I think all guys should be like that."
Recently, fans revealed that they want "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder to play the dominating Christian Grey in the adaption of James' erotic novel.
Other stars that are rumored to play the two roles are "Immortals" star Henry Cavill, "White Collar" star Matt Bomer, "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles, and "Drive" star Ryan Gosling. Some fans also said they wanted "The Dark Knight" star Christian Bale to be Grey. Recently, at the HBO panel at Comic-Con San Diego, "True Blood" star Alexander Skarsgard said that hasn't been offered a casting part to play Christian Grey, nor has he read the book or seen a script.
"Magic Mike" star Channing Tatum revealed that he would like to be Christian, but only if his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, were going to be Anastasia.
