'The Bachelorette' Spoilers: After the Rose Special; Emily and Jef to Plan a Spring Wedding; Arie Gets Closure

ABC's "The Bachelorette" fans are happy for Emily Maynard after she chose Jef (with one F) Holm in the season finale, which aired Sunday. But they want to know what exactly happened to the couple after Jef proposed.

NJ.com reported that the show isn't exactly known for producing marriages. However, Emily and Jef put any doubts to rest for now during a live "After the Rose" special with host Chris Harrison.

The couple is already talking about a possible spring wedding and has decided on Charleston (presumably in West Virginia) as the destination.

Jef, 27, an entrepreneur from Utah, also plans to move to Charlotte, N.C. to start his life with Emily and her daughter, 7-year-old Ricki. He will start out in a separate apartment. They are also planning a humanitarian trip to Africa as part of Jef's work with his bottled water company, NJ.com reported.

The live show wasn't all lovey dovey. Emily had to face Arie Luyendyk Jr., who was the second choice she dumped without getting to the final date just before accepting Jef's proposal.

"I just, more than anything, I want you to know that I'm sorry," Emily told him. "I'm still sorry. It was really hard for me to watch that. It put me right back in that moment."

Arie admitted that he flew to Charlotte to try to see Emil after the show. But once there, he changed his mind. He called her and decided to leave his journal on her doorstep.

"It seems crazy now," he said.

Emily claims she didn't actually read the diary (out of respect for Arie, she said). During the live show, she returned it to him in a sealed envelope.

And as it turns out, it was Jef who helped Arie move on. He picked up the phone and talked things out with Arie, providing closure for both men.

"I am happy for you," Arie told Emily.

The Huffington Post called Holm's pre-proposal speech "simply perfect."

Fox News and NJ.com described the scene.

"I'm so grateful that you came here and put your heart on the line one more time," Jef said. "What I'm about to ask you aren't just empty words. What I'm about to ask you is a forever thing."

"I found my everything," he told her. "I'm so in love with you. I promise you Emily that if you let me into your life, and Ricki's life, you will never feel lonely ever again. And I love you so much."

Jef then dropped down to one knee with a Neil Lane diamond and popped the question, to which the blonde beauty responded: "Yes."

Reports said that Emily letting Jef meet Ricki for the first time sealed the deal for her.

The New York Daily News reported that Jef and Ricki hit it off immediately, with Jef's quirky humor bringing Ricki out of her shell.

"So surreal," Jef repeats over and over again. "She was nervous, but I was nervous too!"

At dinner that night, Jef gifts Emily with a book about Curacao, with a few little cartoon stick figures penned into the pages. They giggly over their journey together, and say their goodbyes.

Hopefully, this ex-bachelorette will spend happily ever after with her new fiancé.
