Only half the summer is over. There's still more time to read erotic novels that will keep the summer sizzling and even keep the love going. Here are five sexy books to read before the summer is over.
1. "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy by E.L. James
This steamy trilogy is on the New York Times Bestsellers list and has stayed there for quite some time.
The novel tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, also a virgin, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with a BDSM-crazed billionaire named Christian Grey. Their relationship spans over the other two, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed."
A review by The Unexpected Twists and Turns revealed Christian and Anastasia S&M based relationship.
"The author creates sustained tension through very high stakes for the naive Anastasia, who is attracted to the brooding, winsome Grey. However, the more time she spends with him the more she risks falling in love. The author further ups the ante by endangering the protagonist's safety with Grey's sexual proclivity for BDSM, and of course, she has to face the inevitable: he will never be able to reciprocate her love."
This book has spurred up sex conversations all over the world, and some couples say it has given their bedroom time a whole other meaning.
2. "Sleeping Beauty" Trilogy by Anne Rice
The trilogy, "The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty," "Beauty's Punishment," and "Beauty's Release" is considered a book similar to "Fifty Shades of Grey." Penguin Group describes the novels: "Here the Prince awakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty's complete and total enslavement to him . . . as Anne Rice explores the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic that becomes, with her skillful pen, a compelling experience."
The Daily Beast posted an excerpt from the sexy novel:
"He mounted her, parting her legs, giving the white inner flesh of her thighs a soft, deep pinch, and, clasping her right breast in his left hand, he thrust his sex into her.
He was holding her up as he did this, to gather her mouth to him, and as he broke through her innocence, he opened her mouth with his tongue and pinched her breast sharply.
He sucked on her lips, he drew the life out of her into himself, and feeling his seed explode within her, heard her cry out.
And then her blue eyes opened."
3. "Bared to You" by Sylvia Day.
This book is also a New York Times Bestseller. Published by Penguin Group, and has spent more than 10 weeks on the list. Sylvia Day's website describes the books as:
"Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness...
He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I'd never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily...
Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private wounds... and desires.
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn't tear us apart..."
Book Passion for Life said, "The story itself was gritty, but enthralling. Sylvia Day has created a world that is incredibly thought out and deeply emotional that will leave you sleep deprived and wanting more."
"Their sexual relationship is extremely passionate and very, very hot. Quite possibly, hotter than that of Ana and Christian. That's right, I said it! There's a lot of sex in this book (hell it's erotica!) and you will be left feeling a little hot under the collar ;)"
4. "Because You Are Mine" by Beth Kery
IBTimes said this book could possibly be the next "Fifty Shades of Grey." This erotic novel will be released in seven parts starting July 31 as a serialized e-book.
Penguin Group describes it:
"'Because You Are Mine' explores the intense developing relationship between a billionaire and a young graduate student. Ian Noble is a powerful businessman who keeps emotion out of his relationships, only indulging in casual, discreet affairs. But when he meets Francesca Arno, the young artist and graduate student he has awarded a commission to create a centerpiece for the grand lobby of his new Chicago skyscraper, Ian can't control his reaction. An intense and undeniable chemistry draws them into a passionate, all-consuming relationship that will change both of them forever."
Kery is also the author of erotic novel "Wicked Burn," which Fallen Angel Reviews said, "Hot enough to make the pages smoke."
5. "Suicide Casanova" by Authur Nersesian
This sexy book was published in 2005. Seems old, but it seems serves a purpose for those who want to read a summer sizzling novel.
Barnes and Nobles describes it: "CORPORATE ATTORNEY LESLIE CAULDWELL is middle-aged, handsome, and rich, but has only a few swipes left on his mental Metrocard. During a rough sex session, he garrotes his beloved wife; now he's an officially designated "sex offender," off on a bender, looking for love in all the wrong places. Twenty years earlier, when his office was high above the pornographic purgatory of Times Square, Leslie became involved with the adult-film star, Sky Pacifica. She needed a refuge, and he was ripe for the using. Following a brief fling, each went their own way. Two decades later, in 2001, Leslie is still working in Times Square--recently sanitized with its ESPN Zone and MTV window--and fraught with guilt about the "accident" with his wife.
LIKE JAY GATSBY pursuing an erotic American dream, Leslie, with the help of a private detective, hunts down Sky Pacifica, his latter-day Daisy. Across a landscape of S&M mistresses and porn producers, from L.A. of the '80s to New York of the new millennium, we see a modern-day tale of love and loss, innocence and corruption, crime and redemption."
All five of these sexy books are erotic, mind-blowing, and will make your heart jump like no tomorrow. These books will keep you summer hot and heavy.
