'Iron Man 3:' Sneak Peek of Logo; Details Revealed at Comic-Con 2012 (Video)

"The Iron 3" is one the panels that fans were ready to get into at Comic-Con 2012 San Diego.

Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man, surprised fans in Hall H as a part of the Marvel panel to reveal footage and news on the upcoming movie.

There were clips and discussions of Tony Stark's future, according to the Huffington Post.

An official teaser trailer was shown from Marvel, which include the Logo of "Iron Man 3."

Also revealed was that Sir Ben Kingsley will star as the Iron Man's villain, The Mandarin. Kingsley looked absolutely intimidating in a clip shown during the presentation, which the Huffington Post gives some details of.

The footage began with Stark (Downey Jr.) being put in his suit, with pieces flying in from every direction (one lands on his crotch with a rather unfortunate thud).

Jon Favreau then appears as Happy Hogan. "I don't work for you anymore," Hogan quickly reminds Stark. The line is an obvious reference to the fact that Favreau, who directed the first two installments in the "Iron Man" series, is not steering the third film. Stark's response? "That's right, you quit."

Appearing on Marvel's panel were Downey Jr., Favreau, Don Cheadle, "Iron Man 3" director Shane Black and Kevin Feige, Marvel's president of production.

"We're halfway through [filming], and if we don't f--k up the rest, it will be great," Black said.

Downey Jr. entered from the back of the hall and danced his way onstage before introducing the footage. It was noted that his contract with Marvel ends with "Iron Man 3," but he joked that he would find a way to stick around. "He is Tony Stark," Black added, prompting Downey Jr. to say, "I'm an a-hole."

According to Celebuzz, Feige said, "We're not aiming for bigger, necessarily, we're aiming for different, fresh and new.

"Iron Man 3 is the beginning of the next phase, so it will set the tone in a lot of ways," Black said. "Certainly, Tony's journey could spin forward but it's as self-contained a story since Iron Man 1."

According to other reports, in the upcoming movie, Iron Man will have new armor. Several sets on Iron Man armor were on display at Comic-Con, according to Comic Book.

"Iron Man 3" is set to release May 3, 2013.
