Since the adult coloring books are all the rage right now, it was only a matter of time before one out of Westeros comes along. And as expected, the official coloring book inspired by the first "A Song of Ice and Fire" title in the series is on the way and author George RR Martin himself developed it.
The printed treat features a flurry of elaborate illustrations of everything Westeros. Drawings depicting scenes from the books, characters, creatures such as Dany's dragons and locations like the King's Landing are ready to be given life the way readers and artists personally picture and look at them.
The 45 exclusive sketches that span across all 96 pages of the must-have collector's item were inspired by the book and not the HBO series of the same name. While the book dictates what Westeros look like, the coloring book will give fans the unique experience of reimagining the Seven Kingdoms.
Also, with readers still in doubt how long the wait for "Winds of Winter," the sixth "A Song of Ice and Fire" book Martin is currently working on and a throng of fans waiting for the new season of the TV series to drop, the official "Game of Thrones coloring book should help them idle away the hours.
According to India Times, a group of world-renowned illustrators teamed up to bring the official "Game of Thrones" coloring book to existence. These artists include Yvonne Gilbert, John Howe, Tomislav Tomic, Adam Stower and Levi Pinfold whose every single contribution in the product impresses.
"In a world where weddings are red, fire is green, and debts are paid in gold, countless images leap off the page thanks to the eye-popping intricacy of the vivid settings and details," the official description for the "Game of Thrones" coloring book picked up by Galley Cat read.
"Now, for the first time, fans of this blockbuster saga can fill in the blanks and marvel as this meticulously imagined universe comes to life, one sword, sigil, and castle at a time," the description further read.
The official "Game of Thrones" coloring book is currently on pre-sale via Amazon. The online retail giant will start shipping out copies as early as Oct. 27. From $16.95, the book is now priced at $10.34. Check out a sneak peak of the one-of-a-kind coloring book from Entertainment Weekly.
