Not too long ago, author David Levithan published his newest book "Another Day." It was a more of a companion book to his bestselling novel "Every Day" than a sequel to it and it featured Rhiannon's side of the story. Now, readers who loved these books and are big fans of the writer from Short Hills, New Jersey are in for a big treat.
Levithan has not one, not two but four books in the offing. These new tomes will be published by Alfred A. Knopf Books for Young Readers, an imprint of Random House Children's Books. Two of these novels will be sequels to his previous releases and will be co-written with long-time collaborator Rachel Cohn, who penned "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist," which was turned into a film, with Levithan.
The first one will be titled "The Twelve Days of Dash and Lily," which is a sequel to "Dash & Lily's Book of Dares" Cohn and Levithan published back in 2010. Not much is known about the plot, but Galley Cat writes that the sequel to the love story will be released fall next year.
"Dash & Lily's Book of Dares" follows Lily who places a notebook filled with dares on her favorite book shelf, waiting for a guy to accept the challenge. Dash stumbles upon it and they start to communicate with each other by passing the book back and forth. Stars Michael Cera and Kat Dennings played the silver screen versions of these characters back in 2008.
Levithan will once again team up with Cohn for a standalone book "Sam & Ilsa," which should be the second book to release after As per Mashable, this one is "a story about a set of twins who go to a fateful end-of-the-year party." Unfortunately, that's the only info known about the book.
Then shortly after, A will make a return in a "true" sequel to "Every Day," Levithan's most distinguished novel released back in 2012. It follows A, who wakes up every morning in a different body and one day falls hard for Rhiannon. A's story of his or her love for Rhiannon will be continued in this book.
The fourth title is being kept under wraps, but Bustle thinks that it will also have something to do with a story that LGBTQ youth will relate to, just like that of "Every Day." Whatever this book is going to be, Levithan and Knopf want to make it a surprise to fans, apparently. Nevertheless, the fact that the former is working on four novels is already a big of a good bombshell.
