"Captain America: Civil War" is currently in production, with the cast and crew very busy filming the movie in Atlanta. However, new photos of Scarlet Johansson, who is sultry femme fatale Black Widow to Marvel movie fans, hints that she is on a break from the shoot.
The actress was recently spotted by Just Jared in Madison Square Garden in New York City to attend a U2 concert. The website provided a couple of photos of her sporting new, extremely shorter hair that's colored red, reminiscent of her Marvel character.
This prompted the speculations that Black Widow will get a major makeover in "Captain America: Civil War." According to Movie Web, this isn't at all surprising as this won't be the first time fans will see her change her getup or hairstyle when she appears in Marvel movies.
The site added that Johansson doesn't keep her hair in that color unless she actually needs it for her character. This could mean that she may shortly return to Atlanta for more filming, but this time with a radical new do.
Interestingly, back in May, Johansson was spotted (Just Jared has photos too) on the "Captain America: Civil War" set with longer hair, which had Movie Web thinking that Black Widow might go through a transformation halfway through the film.
According to the publication, there is also the possibility that there will be a time jump that will lead the flick right to the Sokovia Accords, which was teased in the post-credits scene of the Paul Rudd-starrer "Ant-Man." This could be where Black Widow will don that pixie cut.
Should this be how Natasha Romanov will look like in the film at some point, Marvel is simply adopting one of the many appearances of the character in the comics. As per Comicbook, this pixie cut was debuted by Black Widow black in the 1980.
Not only did this come with a buzzed haircut, it also came with a new costume. In this part of the comics, the heroine actually wore a uniform with a spider logo plastered on the left portion of the chest.
For now, it remains to be seen how this makeover will play in "Captain America: Civil War" but if the speculation hit the mark on this, a major comic book restyling is coming to the dearly loved character.
"Captain America: Civil War" depicts the warfare between the Captain and Tony Stark after a law in determining when to enlist the help of superheroes like them was being passed as prompted by the collateral damage they cause as they battle those that threat the city.
