Lionsgate has now published a brand new teaser for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2." It only ran for 14 seconds though as it was merely used as a preview to a lengthier trailer that will be released for the highly anticipated film this week.
Although it was only a very short clip [check it out below] merely devised to keep fans at the edge of their seats for the latest trailer coming out in a few days' time, Entertainment Weekly points out that the video wasn't at all undersized as it had new footages to share.
Fans caught a glimpse of a white rose, which is known as President Snow's way to put his wrath on show. Katniss, as always, stares at the thing with utter abhorrence, and, as per SheKnows, it looks like the heroine has her eyes fixed on eliminating the terror leader and won't stop until he is down to his knees.
Also in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" new teaser, Katniss was at her most uncompromising state. Sporting a stern, fearless look, the Panem liberator prepared to aim her deadly arrow directly towards the Capitol as she fulfills her duty to end Snow's despotic control over the region and to finally free its dwellers once and for all.
Behind her is a battalion of fellow rebels who, like Katniss, have gone tired with the unfair treatment, the violence and the pain of losing people close to their hearts. Indeed, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" is shaping up to be the epic conclusion of the saga.
Talking about the film during the San Diego Comic-Con, producer Nina Jacobson shared the fans' sentiment on having to put a lid on the widely popular franchise they all came to love and cherish, adding that it is indeed "tough" to say goodbye to Panem.
"We all wish there were seven or eight books instead of three," Jacobson said as quoted by Entertainment Weekly. "We want to deliver for the fans," she added. Meanwhile, director Francis Lawrence promised that the end of the epic will satisfy most importantly, those who read Suzanne Collins' novels.
"Anyone who loves the end of the book will love the end of the movie," the helmer said during Comic-Con as picked up by Entertainment Weekly. "War is under way...this is where Katniss gets back in the action," Lawrence guaranteed.
"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" will also see Peeta recover and Gale get out of the sidelines and into the vanguard. As per Comic Book Resources, along with Finnick, Katniss and these two men will attempt to assassinate Snow.
The final movie of the franchise hits theaters on November 20.
