New details coming from the San Diego Comic-Con have emerged, giving fans a glimpse of all the characters checking in for "American Horror Story: Hotel." Lady Gaga wasn't in the panel though but at least, details about her character abound in the convention.
As confirmed by MTV, season 5 of the FX horror anthology will not feature any musical numbers or singing outbursts or anything of that sort even with the "Bad Romance" singer on the team. This means that little monsters will solely be treated to the acting prowess of the outrageously styled pop icon.
Lady Gaga's character in "American Horror Story: Hotel" will be a baddie, of course. As detailed by Deadline, the singer herself reached out to show creator Ryan Murphy to be a part of the show and requested to play an evil character in one awesome phone call.
"The best words you can ever hear are, 'Please hold for Gaga.' She was lovely. She told me she had an acting background. She told me she wanted to play someone evil. I said, 'OK, you came to the right place," Murphy said as quoted by Deadline.
Apparently, there will be a greater quotient of evilness than good and it won't only come from Gaga. Murphy, at one point in the convention, called every cast member in the panel, which included Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters and Matt Bomer (as Entertainment Weekly enumerated) are all "bad boys and girls."
That said, fans that follow the show will see Bassett and Poulson playing wicked characters, which will feel very refreshing and exciting. However, according to E! Online, Murphy has cooked up a different ending for the latter that her fans might not like at all.
The aforementioned site reports that Paulson's character will not make it out of the hotel alive. In every season of "American Horror Story," Poulson's character, whoever it may be, for some reason, manages to dodge an all-out carnage happening around her. But not in season 5.
Also, during the star-studded convention, the names of the confirmed "American Horror Story: Hotel" cast members were revealed except Bassett's. As per E! Online, Bomer's character's name is Donovan, Peters is Mr. March, Sarah Paulson is Hypodermic Sally and Kathy Bates is Iris.
Also set out to appear in the upcoming season are Chloe Sevigny, Wes Bentley, Finn Wittrock, Max Greenfield and Cheyenne Jackson, Huffington Post reports.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" will premiere in October.
