Sara Lance has cheated death twice. After miraculously surviving the accident involving the Queen's Gambit, she eventually became the Canary and a member of the League of Assassins years after being a prisoner in the same island where Oliver was stranded.
Death caught up with her in the third season of "Arrow," but her days as a hero are yet to end. Sara is being resurrected as the White Canary in the "Arrow" and "The Flash" spinoff titled "Legends of Tomorrow." She will team up with a band of heroes and villains to travel through time and stop Vandal Savage.
As seen in the "Legends of Tomorrow" trailer [check it out below], Sara will owe her new life to the healing qualities of the Lazarus Pit. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, actress Caity Lotz, who portrays the death-defying assassin, revealed what effects the magical waters have on the White Canary.
"We haven't gotten the scripts yet, so I don't know how she's going to change, but we've seen with Thea Queen (Willa Holland) that the Lazarus Pit can impact memories and the persona, so the person that goes in is not necessarily the same person who comes out," the actress explained.
"It's going to be interesting to see how Sara changes. She's going to have to relearn a lot of things, [like] how she's going to interact with people again. She was never much of a people person to begin with. It might be hard for her," she went on to say.
Lotz also hopes that "Legends of Tomorrow" or "Arrow" will show what happens to Sara after she got out of the freighter, how Nyssa found her and "how Sara [became] such a warrior." She also welcomed the possibility of a Black Canary vs. White Canary throwdown.
Carter Matt, on the other hand, also hopes that "Legends of Tomorrow" will clarify the mystery of when Sara's body was revived and suggests that time travel may be involved in this. Speaking of time travel, Lotz teased that the upcoming series will take fans to a "different world" with a "completely different vibe."
In other "Legends of Tomorrow" news, Hypable dropped some big spoilers straight from Comic-Con The site quotes Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim saying that "Hawkgirl has all manner of issues because of her past lives" and that Dr. Stein was Ray Palmer's professor "and they kind of hate each other."
Co-executive Producer Greg Berlanti added that "Legends of Tomorrow" will be a 13-part anthology and every season will "feel like its own movie." He said that a crossover between "Arrow" and "The Flash" will set the stage for the series and also assures that a certain character from the new show will still continue to appear in his or her parent series.
Finally, the third EP, Andrew Kreisberg, was quoted by Hypable saying, "What's great about having so many different shows is that we have so much real estate, people can pop up in other places. You're going to see some surprising faces on all of the shows...and not just the main casts. Secondary characters, some of whom you have thought you'd never see again."
"Legends of Tomorrow" stars Brandon Routh (The Atom), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein), Wentworth Miller (Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (Heatwave), Ciara Renee (Hawkgirl), Arthur Darvill (Rip Hunter) and Franz Drameh (Jay Jackson).
