Alleged 3D renderings of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 recently made the rounds, putting more weight on the speculations that the South Korea-based company is working on the Galaxy Note 4's successor. The leaked images extracted from a video are courtesy of a reliable leakster, OnLeaks.

There are a few takeaways on the images. The biggest one, according to GSM Arena, is that the new phablet looks like a fusion of the company's current flagships, the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, with the design language looking very different than its lineup.
Basing on the render, the site also claimed that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will likely come in a 5.89-inches display. Its dimension run at 153.4 x 77.3 x 10.2 mm, with 10.2 mm taking into consideration the protruding camera, which is as Tech Times pointed out, a Galaxy S6 thing.
Acknowledging the phablet's unmistakable resemblance with the Samsung flagships, Pocket-lint assumes that there won't be much design breakthrough to see. The site adds that the arrangement of the buttons isn't new and so does the detailing in the camera.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in the render sports a flat screen with its back arched to the side edges. It also provides a nice slot for the S Pen. On the other hand, BGR said that if the image is any indication, the device won't be getting a Type C-USB port and will instead don a 2.0 Micro-USB port.
Meanwhile, International Business Times reports that an alleged casing for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 has emerged too via @OnLeaks. The site noticed that there are comparatively bigger holes for the rear camera, the LED flash and the heart rate monitor.
On the bottom end, as expected, there is room for the charging port, the stylus and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The power button, just like in the 3D rendering, is remaining on the right-hand side of the smartphone.
There are no new insights regarding the other specs of the device, but according to Tech Times, the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will come in either a really sharp 2K screen or a crisp 4K Super AMOLED display. It will also be equipped with Samsung Exynos octa core processor and 4GB of RAM.
The rear-facing shooter, International Business Times writes, will likely be at 16MP and the front at 8MP. In addition, the storage option will start at 16GB. BGR, on the other hand, claims that the latest Note entry will boast a 4100mAh battery unit. The same site claims the device will be shown in the IFA event in Berlin in September.
