On the last episode of season 4, we saw how the "Teen Wolf" cast successfully saved their town's entire supernatural population from the dreaded deadpool.
And now they're officially back on set to film season 5 of the supernatural MTV series "Teen Wolf." The show made the announcement via social media site Twitter last Feb. 9. And as the characters return to Beacon High School, a new face will be joining them this season.
Cody Christian -- who's best known for his recurring role as Aria's younger brother Mike Montgomery on ABC's mystery thriller "Pretty Little Liars," and is also known for his roles on "Grey's Anatomy" and "True Blood" -- will be joining the hit series on its fifth season.
According to MTV, Christian will be playing senior student Theo, a lone wolf who is drawn to Beacon Hills in search for a pack. The network describes the young adult as "athletic and charming yet covert." And while it may seem that he is new in town, "his past might suggest otherwise."
Given his sporty personality, Hypable suspects that Theo may be joining Scott (Tyler Posey), Stiles (Dylan O'Brien), Liam (Dylan Sprayberry), and Kira (Arden Cho) on the lacrosse team.
The news outlet also speculates that he may be connected to Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) and Peter Hale (Ian Bohen), as the Hale family has had a strong presence in the town for at least a couple generations.
Back in November, "Teen Wolf" star Tyler Posey gave fans a hint at what to expect from the show's upcoming season. "It's going to be badass. Like, it's another thing we haven't done before. I'm really excited," he told E! News.
"It's cool because I know nothing about the season, I only know one part of it. But it's so badass that I would watch the entire season just for this one part," added Posey.
Last December, series creator Jeff David revealed on his Instagram page that the tentative title for the show's season 5 premiere is "Creatures of the Night," noted Hypable in a separate report.
And during an interview on the Gecken podcast last month, producer and writer Eric Wallace said that the authors of the show are hard at work trying to make the next installment the "scariest season ever."
"Teen Wolf" season 5 will premiere in June with no exact date as of the moment.
