Amazon Wine Announces 1¢ Shipping Program On Select Orders

Amazon announced a 1¢ shipping program for select orders placed on Amazon Wine. More than 100 wine sellers have opted to participate in the new program offering over 1,000 labels of wine available to ship for 1¢. As the program grows, a greater selection of wines will be available for shipping at 1¢, the company announced.

Amazon Wine offers a wide variety of wines from well-known brands to enthusiast favorites. Customers can find high-quality selection available with the 1¢ shipping offer from wine sellers including Tudor Wines, Raymond Vineyards, Zaca Mesa Winery, Pellet Estate and Pepper Bridge Winery, among many others.

"Offering Amazon customers 1¢ shipping is a great opportunity to get Tudor Wines in front of a large number of holiday shoppers," said Dan Tudor, winemaker for Tudor Wines. "Amazon is one of the largest and strongest online shopping sites with an incredible brand reputation, and we view the Amazon Wine store as an extension of our e-commerce business. We believe Amazon Wine is an ideal place to buy wine online."

During the holidays, the Amazon Wine store will also feature Holiday Daily Deals to help customers save on great wines. Each Holiday Daily Deal will showcase a wine seller with a one-day-only deep discount with savings up to 50 percent on qualifying purchases. In addition, some Holiday Daily Deals will feature 1¢ shipping. Participating wine sellers include Don Sebastiani & Sons, Pacific Rim Winery, Villa Mt. Eden and Ceja Vineyards.

"The holidays are a huge selling season for wine. Wine is front of mind for people this time of year, and they probably already have their browser open to Amazon.com," said Donny Sebastiani, President and CEO of Don Sebastiani & Sons, maker of the Smoking Loon wines. "As a customer, the cost of shipping is one of the biggest hurdles to buying wine online. Now with 1¢ shipping from the Amazon Wine store there are no excuses. Wine at a great price is just a click away."
