To honor educators, Barnes & Noble has announced a "Holiday Shopping Event for Educators" to be held December 7, 2013.

On this day, all educators who shop at their local Barnes & Noble store will receive a variety of deals and discounts including $25 off NOOK HD (16GB); 25% discount on CDs/DVDs and electronics; and 25% off on personal and classroom purchases.

"We understand school budgets are tight so we're pleased to show our support of educators with this special day of discounted shopping on December 7," said Sarah DiFrancesco, Vice President of Business Development, Barnes & Noble in apress statement. "Teachers may use the discount to purchase special items for their classrooms and holiday gifts for co-workers or students or simply for themselves. They certainly deserve it! Schools are places of dreams and aspirations, just like a bookstore, and Barnes & Noble is committed to supporting the teachers who help make our country great by educating our children."

To avail this discount, educators need to provide a valid Barnes & Noble Educator Discount card. Moreover, NOOK GlowLight, NOOK HD and NOOK HD+ are not included in this offer. The offer is valid only for one day and only on electronic devices at selected stores. Additional terms and conditions apply and only three NOOK devices are allowed per educator.
