David Baldacci's new novel, "The Hit", soared to the top of the U.S. bestsellers list Thursday. This is Baldacci's 26th book. The author has always been one of the most popular writers in the States. Last year, his novel "The Innocent" also made it to the top of many bestsellers lists.
The list is compiled using data from independent and chain bookstores, book wholesalers and independent distributors nationwide.
