Ben Affleck will reportedly continue his career in direction with a movie based on Nathaniel Philbrick's historical book, "Bunker Hill."

Ben Affleck took his directorial career forward by leaps and bounds with the Oscar-winning movie "Argo." The film not only won him an Oscar for "The Best Picture" but was highly acclaimed by critics. Now, the actor turned director reportedly will continue his stride on patriotic films by directing a movie based on Nathaniel Philbrick's historical book, "Bunker Hill."

Philbrick's "Bunker Hill: A city, A Siege, A Revolution," tells the story of the battle that started the American Revolution. The movie will mainly focus on Bunker Hill which was the bloodiest battle during this period. According to a report by Deadline, Warner Bros has signed a high seven-figure deal for screen rights of the novel, which will be released April 2013 in the U.S. The report also suggests that Chris Terrio - who won an Oscar for Argo's screenplay - has been asked to work again with Affleck and write the script for the Bunker Hill adaptation.

The film will reportedly be shot in Boston where Affleck grew up with Matt Damon and where he set his first two films, "Gone Baby Gone" and "The Town." He is currently working on "Live By Night," a movie adaptation of a Dennis Lehane novel that will also take place in the capital of Massachusetts during Prohibition. Ben Affleck will act in the movie as well as direct and produce along with Leonardo DiCaprio.
