Women all over the world are finding themselves sexually liberated and it's all because of the kinkily fun pleasure fest that is "Fifty Shades of Grey". The first book in the erotic trilogy (there's also "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed") currently resides at the top of the New York Times and Amazon.com best seller list. It centers on a 21-year old virgin, Anastasia Steale who meets a gorgeous 27-year old billionaire, Christian Grey, and finds herself instantly drawn to him. After a few innocent encounters and one ridiculously sultry elevator moment, he asks her to be his submissive. It's like a modern "Cinderella" tale, in which the Prince likes to blindfold, bind, and whip young women.
Though the series has allowed women to enjoy an intriguingly raunchy fantasy life, it may also lead to false hope. Fans of the books will find that Christian is an idealistic figure who hardly represents the men of today. Here are 25 reasons why the "Fifty Shades" trilogy leads to unrealistic expectations in men.
After reading the books, women may expect to date a man who:
1. Owns an enterprise.
2. Flies his own helicopter.
3. Has a private jet.
4. Has his own boat which he sails himself.
5. Owns apartments in Escala (one of the most expensive buildings in Seattle), Olympia, and New York.
6. Can buy companies on a whim.
7. Is a classically trained pianist.
8. Is fluent in French.
9. Rents a private room when he takes you out to dinner.
10. Buys you an Audi and when you're unhappy with that car... a Saab.
11. Buys you an entire wardrobe of designer clothes.
