Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's sister, Randi Zuckerberg signed a book deal with publishers HaperCollins, the publishing house announced Thursday.
Randi Zuckerberg, who is the sister of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and once the marketing director of the website, has written a memoir on her time spent with the social networking site. Publishing house, HaperCollins announced Thursday that they have signed a book deal with the recently turned author.
Along with the memoir titled "Dot Complicated", the book deal also includes another children's book that is slated to release this fall.
"I am thrilled to be working with HarperCollins to share some of my own crazy experiences on the front lines of social media, and to inspire people of all ages to embrace technology, as well as the new set of social norms that come along with it," Yahoo quoted the author as saying.
"Dot Complicated" provides details of Zuckerberg's six-year role as marketing director for Facebook and her decision to leave the social media site to set up her own company, Zuckerberg Media, an entertainment production studio.
The book will first be released in its digital form, the publishing house revealed. This, said HarperCollins, will have "innovative and engaging interactive components." Zuckerberg, who departed from Facebook in 2011, also served as executive producer for the Bravo reality show "Start-Ups: Silicon Valley" and is the editor of the lifestyle blog "Dot Complicated."
