In her next book, "Something Lost, Something Gained: Reflections on Life, Love, and Liberty," which Simon & Schuster will publish on September 17, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will issue a warning to all American voters.
The book recounts her operation to evacuate Afghan women during the final days of America's longest war. Additionally, it highlights stories of courageous women dissidents worldwide, provides insights into her adversary Vladimir Putin, and offers advice on protecting children from harmful technology. Clinton's book emphasizes the interconnectedness of personal and political life and serves as a guide for improving our lives.
The book also explores the strength she draws from her closest friendships, her Methodist faith, and nearly 50 years of marriage to former President Bill Clinton. Reflecting on her life with a fresh perspective, she shares her experiences as a college professor and a member of the former First Ladies' Club and her transition from presidential aspirations to new activism for women and democracy.
Clinton takes readers to the front lines of significant challenges, from deprogramming white supremacists to addressing climate change in India. Clinton's narrative demonstrates how to age with grace, grit, joy, purpose, and humor.
Priscilla Painton, Clinton's editor, described her upcoming book as feeling like a conversation with a smart, funny, and passionate friend over a long meal. Painton highlighted that the book showcases the Clinton Americans know and love: candid, engaged, humorous, self-deprecating, and always eager to learn.

Clinton plans to promote the book through a five-city tour in September and October, just before the election. The book tour will commence in Washington, D.C., with subsequent stops planned for Boston, San Francisco, and Chicago, concluding in Seattle.
As part of her book tour, Clinton will discuss politics, democracy, and her life with a moderator. Clinton expressed excitement about the tour. Clinton eagerly anticipates participating in diverse discussions, revealing behind-the-scenes anecdotes, and exploring the prospects for our younger generations.
Bill Clinton will also publish a book in the fall that looks back more than 23 years after his presidency. In a statement, he queries the impact of his tenure, posing concerns about whether society is coming together rather than fracturing and whether people would be better off if children had a brighter future.
Both books offer reflections and advice from their respective authors on personal and political matters. Clinton's previous bestselling books include "Living History" and "What Happened."
Coinciding with her upcoming book and tour announcement, Clinton published an opinion piece criticizing former President Donald Trump's debate tactics ahead of the forthcoming presidential election. Drawing on her unique experience debating President Joe Biden and Trump, she argued against refuting Trump's arguments, deeming it a "waste of time."
Clinton highlighted Trump's incoherent debate style and recommended Biden remain direct and forceful in his responses. She urged voters to evaluate candidates on fundamental principles, framing the election as a choice between a convicted criminal seeking revenge and a president delivering results, emphasizing the contrast between chaos and competence.
