Tyrese Gibson and Rev Run's 'Manology' Helps Women Find Their True Man

R&B singer Tyrese Gibson and Rev Run's new book, "Manology," is said to be a gateway for women into a man's mind, helping them find "true" relationships.

Tyrese Gibson and Rev Run's "Manology: Secrets of Your Man's Mind Revealed" offers women advice on men and provides a peek into what they call an "uncensored" look in men's minds. Both authors spoke to US Today about their new book and how women can find relationships by reading the minds of men and staying away from cheaters.

Gibson says that the two have put out all this information with the good intention of keeping women away from the bad guys and from making bad decisions. Run says his stable marriage can vouch for how authentic the information is and it makes it one of the top reasons why women should read the book.

On their book being compared to Steve Harvey's "Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man", the authors say that though the book has been inspired from Harvey's advice book, the impact of their novel is going to be different. Gibson says that their book is not just about relationships between men and women but they are also talking to men as well.

So how can a woman tell a good guy from a bad guy?

The authors believe instincts have a lot to do with this decision. While a guy who never harms a woman can be taken as a "template", Gibson points out that just because a guy goes to church every Sunday doesn't make him a saint.

Gibson also notes that this book is not only for women but men who are single dads like him and also helps men who are just out of a relationship decide what they should do next or not, in their next relationship.

The book also says that no woman should make changing her man the goal of her relationship. If changes are necessary, it could come out of love and not a "charity case." However, both authors are of the opinion that a woman shouldn't blame herself if she finds out her man has cheated on her. There's no telling what a man in going to do in the next few minutes, leave alone a lifetime long relationship.
