Gallery Publishing Group's President and Publisher Louise Burke announced that Jennifer Bergstrom is now the Vice-President of the Simon & Schuster's Imprint.
Former editor-in-chief of Gallery Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, Jennifer Bergstrom has now been made the vice-president and publisher of the publishing group. The announcement was made January 8 by the publishing house's president Louise Burke.
"Over the past three years, Jen has served as Editor-in-Chief of this young imprint. Instrumental in Gallery's successful run as a profitable imprint committed to serving readers by publishing established authors and introducing emerging voices both in fiction and non-fiction, Jen's savvy acquisition strategy and flair for promotion has helped Gallery become an imprint of choice for agents and authors alike," said Louise Burke in a press release from the company.
Bergstrom's promotion came after major imprints of Simon & Schuster reportedly went through a reorganization last October, which saw Martha Levin, executive Vice President and publisher of Free Press, and Dominick Anfuso, Vice president and editorial director, are leave the company.
Bergstrom has been with the company for 15 years now. Prior to that she worked as a publisher of Simon Spotlight Entertainment and was instrumental in their megahit release "He's Just Not That Into You."
"Jen Bergstrom's creative energy and business acumen make her a natural publisher, and have been critical in forging a strong identity for Gallery Books. Since she began at Simon & Schuster, Jen has risen to every challenge placed before her, and it is a joy to recognize her accomplishments with this promotion," said Carolyn Reidy, President and CEO of Simon & Schuster, Inc. in the same press release published on the company's website.
