'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Matt Bomer Out Of Casting List?

Rumors have it that Matt Bomer is no more in the running to play Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' novel "Fifty Shades Of Grey".

According to a recent tweet sent out from the account 50ShadesCasting, who claims to "share my casting ideas and discuss them, if you'd like," Matt Bomer is too old to play Christian Grey in the movie adaptation of E.L. James' popular novel "Fifty Shades Of Grey".

Accorder to the user, Bomer "is honestly, for me, too old. He's 35 and will be 40 by the 3rd movie."

Gather.com, who first picked up the tweet reported the producers "might feel the same way."

Until recently Bomer was the top contender for the roll. However, with hot news pouring in every day about the casting of the film, it's too soon to tell who's in and who's out.

Website Wetpaint.com has collected news from different sources and summarized their finding on the movie's casting. According to a poll by the website, "Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder tops the list for playing Grey with 46% of the total votes. As for the role of Anastasia Steele, currently Lucy Hale seems to be the favorite with 26% of the votes.

Emma Watson, who had earlier been rumored to play the role, denied all such rumors saying, "I haven't read the book, I haven't a read a script, nothing."

Recently, author EL James took home the National Book award with the novel winning popular fiction book award.

"The award recognizes the massive impact Fifty Shades of Grey has made this year; the blockbusting title undoubtedly whipped up quite a stir from the publishing industry, media and consumers alike," said the prize's organizers. It follows the surprise announcement from US book trade bible Publishers Weekly earlier this week that James had been chosen as its publishing person of the year.
