Though the "Twilight" saga is set to end later this year with "Breaking Dawn: Part 2," fans of the series can rest assured, there's plenty more to come from Stephenie Meyer.
Her bestselling book, "The Host", which was written for adults rather than younger audiences, is set to hit the big screen next year. The supernatural tale is set on our world in the distant future. It's a place where aliens invade human bodies by injecting their own souls into their physical form. One they do so, the human host's mind, memories and emotions dissipate.
For Melanie (Saoirse Ronan), the invasion of her soul doesn't go so smoothly. She proves to be stronger than the rest of humanity, and the alien spirit isn't powerful enough to overtake her. This leads to an inner battle of two different wills, which becomes particularly complicated when Melanie falls in love.
Now the poster for the film debuts. Directed by sci-fi visionary Andrew Niccol ("Gattaca", "In Time"), the film will likely me a compelling foray into the post-apocalyptic world.
