Many handsome-stars are up for the coveted role of Christian Grey in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie.
Matt Bomer, Ian Somerhalder, Colin Egglesfield, and Robert Pattinson are just a few that are constantly mentioned. However, there are many fans for "Supernatural" star Jensen Ackles.
Ackles' name has been tossed around as Christian for quite some time now.
Although he is also attached to playing the role of Ethan Kavanagh, many fans believe that the 34-year-old actor can play Christian Grey the best. A Pinterest page features many photos of Ackles as the sexy billionaire Christian.
The Examiner reported that Ackles has the looks to play either part in the "FiftyShades" film. The website said:
"Yet he seems to truly personify Christian Grey. Jensen Ackles may not be part of the erotic BDSM world but he has many other traits that make him perfect for the role.
"Jensen has a quiet confidence and the charisma to charm any woman. As seen in interviews, he also has the presence needed to play the very wealthy Grey Enterprise Holding's CEO.
Examiner also reported that Ackles is known for being a talented singer and guitar player, which is good for an actor who plays the piano-playing-loving Christian.
However, not all agree that Ackles can take on the role of the 27-year-old sexy billionaire. It's not because he can't act or he's not sexy enough, but some think he's too classy for the role.
One Books & Review commenter said, "I would never, ever want a talented actor like Jensen Ackle tied to this movie. Thank goodness he'll be too busy filming Supernatural!" Another said, "He's too perfect for the role<3."
Some don't see Ackles being Christian because they don't like the book. One commenter said, "Jensen Ackles would never take that part. It's a terribly written book and the character is a douche." Another said, "Agreed. He would never take part in this garbage, he's much to good for it. Also, I think I'd lose a little bit of respect for him if he did." Another one agreed, "Couldn't have said it better myself. I only hope Jensen Ackles feels the Same."
Another commenter had mixed feelings: he/she didn't like the books but thought Ackles should play Christian.
"The book is terrible and so is the character christian grey. but it happens in world. Not everyone is as pure and perfect as our dean winchester. From the hype it seems the movie is gonna be a big hit and thats why i want Jensen to be Christian grey. He deserves to be on top. he deserves to rule Hollywood because he is far better actor and far more hotter than the current Hollywood hotties and this character might be his key to unlock the door," the person said.
This doesn't seem to persuay fans, and these might just be a small percentage of Ackles' fans.
The Dean Winchester actor is currently winning a Christian Grey poll with "The Vampire Diaries" star Paul Wesley right behind.
What Culture listed Ackles as number one on their list of ten actors that should play mysterious Christian Grey.
"Ackles would bring the necessary dark mystique, and he is another actor who has been suggested by fans," What Culture wrote. "He would certainly be a marketing savvy pick, because fans of Supernatural have been calling out for the opportunity to see him in a more erotic role for some time now," the website reported.
One commenter said, "Jensen is perfect! He´s a VERY good actor... and anyone who has ever seen Supernatural, knows that Dean and Christian are not so different in their personality. Both of them have many different faces... and Jensen is playing Dean SO perfect! In my opinion he is the best Christian Grey." Another said, "Jensen Ackles - it'd be a SIN if he wasn't offered this part!!! Honestly, have you SEEN the guy??"
