Windows Phone 8 Release Date, Features: How HTC Phone 8X, Radar 4G Could Dominate vs Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung ATIV S

Which Windows Phone 8 will you buy?

This is a question that many are answering in terms of their comments and surveys.

There are many options out there. Some popular ones are Nokia's Lumia 920, HTC Windows Phone 8X, and Samsung Windows Phone 8 ATIV S.

In a new customer satisfaction report called the Piplzchoice Customer Experience, consumers chose HTC as the company who gives the most customer satisfaction.

According to WebProNews, analytics look at reviews from over 100,000 customers from the past three months to create a dataset that seeks to show customer satisfaction among smartphone brands.

Samsung got the most reviews, but came in second against HTC, who came in first. Nokia came in third, and Sony in fourth. Samsung and Motorola came in fifth place together.

As for mobile operating systems, Windows Phone came out on top. WebProNews reported that out of the top 10 phones, five of them were Windows Phones, and four of the Windows Phones came from HTC. The top one was HTC's Radar 4G.

The website noted: "These numbers are pulled from a limited amount of customer engagement and reviews. It should not be seen as a definitive look at overall satisfaction."

This is good news for HTC, who is trying to stay in the game with Microsoft's new software.

According to Gottabemobile, the Windows Phone 8X is the "high-end 'signature' Windows Phone 8 device. We don't know what the term "signature" means, except that Microsoft gave HTC its blessing on the phone and named it. We don't know how much influence Microsoft had on the design of the Windows Phone 8X, but we know it will market the phone heavily."

Tapscape describes:

"The HTC Phone 8X will be available in November and will come in the following colors - California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow. So in addition to a boldly colored case, what are you getting with an HTC Phone 8X? The device will have a 4.3-inch 720p HD super LCD 2 display and will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It will come with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and have NFC support. The HTC Phone 8X will also have a 8 MP camera, which is standard for phones in this class but what's different is that it steps up its game with the front facing camera and gives users a 2.1 MP camera instead of the usual 1.3 MP. The HTC Phone will weigh astonishingly light at 130 grams, significantly less than the Nokia Lumia 920′s 180 grams." It also comes with Beat Audio.

HTC faces major competition, especially with the Lumia 920.

CNET compared the two phones. The Lumia 920 and the HTC Phone 8X are similar in ways, such as the colors, NFC, processor, and RAM. However, the HTC phone is smaller, lighter, and thinner than the Lumia 920. The Lumia 920 has a larger display. HTC's 8-megapixel camera includes the image chip; shutter lag is virtually nonexistent and photo quality is very high. And when it comes to the front-facing cameras, HTC's 2.1-megapixel front-facer has the upper hand over Nokia's 1-megapixel contribution.

Both smartphone are very similar.

In recent news, according to TheVerge, the Lumia 920 will be available for pre-order in the U.S. on Oct. 21.

"Sources familiar with AT&T and Microsoft's plans have revealed to The Verge that the carrier will start taking pre-orders for its range of Windows Phone 8 handsets on October 21st - including the HTC 8X and Nokia's Lumia 920," TheVerge reported.

Microsoft is holding an event in California on Oct. 29 to announce the final version of WP8.

According to PCWorld, "Carriers on that day are also expected to announce pricing, availability, and pre-order details for the first round of Windows Phone 8 devices."

In July, Microsoft's WP senior product manager Greg Sullivan told Tech Crunch to expect some "cool stuff" when the wraps finally come off Windows Phone 8.

"There are a whole series of... new capabilities and features that will come that we haven't talked about and there's integration with Windows 8 that we'll demo closer to the date," he said.

It looks like HTC is coming out strong with its new Windows 8 phones. Would you buy one? Sound off below!
