Fans are gearing up to watch the epic finale of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2."
Some are buying "Twilight" T-Shirts with pictures of Bella, Edward, or Jacob on them. Some are buying other accessories. However, some are searching the Internet trying to figure out how director Bill Condon and bestselling author Stephanie Meyer produced the new secret ending, and what will be the bonus scene after the credits.
We all can speculate. It's fun and makes you wonder just how far the imagination can go.
Possibilities for Bonus Scene
"Twilight" star Kellan Lutz, who plays Emmett Cullen, recently revealed that there will be a bonus scene following the credits of "Breaking Dawn Part 2."
"They're gonna love it, and Bill [Bill Condon, the director] even told me that, stay for the credits -- there's a really special thing happening," Lutz said, according to The Insider.
MTV News writer Kara Warner featured two possible scenes that could be show after the credits:
All-Cast Dance-Off
We've been hearing about this one for months now, that cute and choreographed routine the cast planned as a surprise for Bill Condon toward the end of the "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" shoot, so why not include it after the credits as a special warm-fuzzy for the fans? Condon told us that the performance will likely be on the DVD/Blu-ray, but I think it would be awesome to see that "Sweet Dreams" number right before I leave the theater.
Bonus Lee Pace/ New Vamps
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: One of the main reasons I'm excited for "Breaking Dawn - Part 2" is to (hopefully) see much more Lee Pace as American nomad Garrett. And because Garrett isn't really a central character or anything, I'm betting that whatever screen time he does get won't be enough. That being said, why not give us an extended or additional scene that shows us what Kate and Garrett are up to a few months later? I would very much like to see what life in the Denali clan is like. A peek inside the day-to-day life of the Amazon clan would also be fun.
The Continuation of Renesmee and Jacob
MTV News had something similar, "A Renesmee Flash-Forward," which is definitely a good idea.
Jacob (Taylor Lautner) imprints on Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) in "Breaking Dawn Part 1," so Twi-hards would love to see what happens in the future with these two. It was recently reported that a reboot of "Twilight" might include continuing the relationship between Renesmee and Jacob.
According to The Guardian Express newspaper reported:
"On January 16, 2012, National Post reported that Lions Gage's chief executive Jon Feltheimer, will likely continue past the last book of the series. The decision seems quite logical, especially since interest in the series does not appear to have waned and in fact statistics indicate that the saga enjoys a growing audience that spans across a large demographic network."
About making the reboot center on Renesmee:
"The logic here seems quite palpable, especially since "Breaking Dawn Part 2″ is primarily about saving Renesmee from the wrath of Volturi, the ancient vampire council."
So from this, the bonus scene might be a clip from the speculated reboot? Who knows, but we can only dream and hope to see SOMETHING.
Possibilities for Secret Ending
It was revealed earlier in the year that the brand new sequence was "dreamed up by [author] Stephanie Meyer and longtime screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg one night over dinner" that is much different from the book version.
"Twilight Saga" actress Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella in all the films, recently dished on the details of the secret ending to MTV News.
"It's so good," Stewart said when asked for her thoughts on seeing a finished cut. "It's good, it's really weird. I think everyone expects that but I'm really proud of Bill [Condon] and I'm really happy with how it closes [the franchise]. It's a lot to take."
"I hope not everyone knows exactly how that goes down. I think maybe they do, but even if you do know what happens, the end throws you for a loop, even if you're expecting it."
What could possibly be the secret ending?
We here at Books & Review have a theory that the final theatrical trailer may hint at the new ending.
In the "Breaking Dawn Part 2" novel, the Denali, Egyptian, Irish, Amazon, Romanian Coven, and others come to defend the Cullens after Irina reported to the ruling vampire class known as the Volturi that the Cullens (Bella and Edward) created an immortal child, half-vampire, half-human Renesmee (played by Mackenzie Foy). Due to her hatred with Bella (played by Stewart) because of Bella's relationship with the wolves as well as the unfulfilled revenge of her mate Laurent, she betrayed her sisters and her allies. The movie also centers on Bella's new transformation as a new-born (new vampire).
The Volturi and the Cullens (along with the other clans) don't actually fight in the book. [SPOILER] They stop to listen to the Cullens' explanation of the half-vampire, half-human child, long enough to be convinced that the child wasn't a harm or liability to the secrecy of the vampires. Only one person gets killed, which is Irina because she was mistaken. In the trailer, however, there is a vicious fight between those on the Volturi side and those on the Cullens' side. Starting at 1:46, the Cullens are running towards the Volturi.
Edward (played by Robert Pattinson) is seen punching snow-covered ground so that is collapses and kills the enemies. Another part in the trailer shows Edward throwing Bella so that she hits another enemy vampire. These details could be a part of the new ending.
Also in the book, the ending is a happily ever after one. Surely, the producers do not want to piss off fans and change that part, but Twi-hards would love to see a nice little change up for the finale.
One commenter gave their opinion: "Guys don't worry, at the beginning of the year Ashley Greene said in an interview that she had been preparing to film a battle sequence, later it was announced that there would be a scene that showed Alice's vision of what would happen if the Volturi didn't stop to listen to the Cullen's. So this is what i think the new ending is, not a complete renewal of the ending just a curveball that, from the trailer makes you think that the ending has been changed but it has simply had a scene added."
So "Twilight" fans, what do you think would be the secret ending and the bonus scene? Sound off below!
