OJ Simpson Son: Jason Simpson Named as Killer of Nicole Brown in New Book by PI William Dear

A new book by William Dear entitled "O.J. Is Innocent and I Can Prove It" named OJ Simpson's son Jason Simpson as the killer of Nicole Simpson Brown and Ronald Goldman.

Dear, a Texas private investigator, spent nearly 20 years investigating the murder and claims now 41-year-old Jason Simpson, the oldest son of OJ Simpson, is the murderer in his new book.

In the book, which hits bookstores on Monday, Dear examines why then 24-year-old Jason was never interviewed by police, adding that Simpson merely took on the allegations of murder to protect his son who currently lives in Miami, according to the New York Post.

Dear says 41-year-old Jason Simpson is the "overlooked suspect" based on evidence he and his team found over the past 17 years since the murder trial in the 1994 murder case.

There is little doubt that O.J. was at the murder scene, but only after the murders, and it's time for the local authorities to pay attention and act on this information, so the families of these victims can know the truth before the real killer strikes again," Dear said in a statement.

ear details incriminating items found in association with Jason Simpson, like a hunting knife which was never used as evidence in court and knit caps like the one found at the crime scene were found in his locker and trash.

"That person who was wielding and welding that knife, had to know exactly what he was doing and he certainly had to be familiar with a knife. OJ wasn't," Dear said in a 2012 documentary cited by The Daily Mail, which said Simpson was only guilty for covering up the murder.

According to the book, Jason Simpson used drugs and suffered from "intermittent rage disorder," further exemplified by the assault on his girlfriend two months before the murder of Brown and Goldman.

William Dear also cited a diary entry from Jason Simpson, who described himself as a "Jekyll and Hyde," which read "this is the year of the knife for me" in addition to a fight with Nicole Brown the day she was murdered.

"O.J. Is Innocent and I Can Prove It" by William Dear hits bookstores on Monday.
