'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Start Date & Spoilers: 2 Original Cast Members Returning? Get the Details Here!

"Game of Thrones" season 6 will see the return of Bran Stark, who was absent in the entire fifth run of the hit HBO series. According to Independent, the character's absence was necessary for the series to catch up with the storylines in George R.R. Martin's novels.

Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays the character, recently had a chat with Irish Examiner about his return. There he said, "I can't say a lot, but I am back this season and it's going to get particularly interesting with Bran, adding that the character "has some interesting visions."

As stated by IGN, last time fans saw Bran was when he, together with Meera and Hodor (who also didn't appear in "Game of Thrones" season 5), found the Three-Eyed Raven in a cave back in the show's season 4 finale. Now, he will be in "Game of Thrones" season 6.

During the interview, Wright admitted that he has been very busy with school so he wasn't able to catch up with everything that's happened in the last season. The actor, however, knows very well the unrelenting uproar caused by Jon Snow's death in the season 5 finale and hopes that Kit Harrington will also be back for season 6.

"I don't know [if actor Kit Harington will return]," the actor told Irish Examiner. "He's said he's not. I wish he would because I love Kit and because the character's so cool. Who knows? We start filming series six at the end of this month so we'll see," he added.

Speaking of the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, a new piece of evidence has sprung about his return in "Game of Thrones" season 6, and this time, it involves the filming location selected for the upcoming season.

In a separate report by IGN, it was stated that the Castillo de Zafra in Spain is one of the filming sites for the new season. It is being said that the landmark resembles the Tower of Joy, which fans who read the book know is an important location for the R+L=J theory, which is explained in a video by Alt Shift X.

It is a vital setting for the Robert's Rebellion, the war that earned him the iron throne. This event also led to the banishing of Dany from Westeros, and, ultimately, sent Ned back to Winterfell with Jon Snow, who was then just an infant.

If Tower of Joy will be a flashback element in "Game of Thrones" season 6, Jon Snow's parentage will likely be given light. IGN also adds that the fact the show in search of an actor to portray "a paragon of knighthood," who is believed to be Ser Arthur Dayne (Sword of the Morning), who confronted a young Ned Stark in the Tower. Arthur is Rhaegar Targaryen's closest friend, who aided him in the alleged kidnapping of Lyanna Stark, as per A Wiki of Ice and Fire.

Should Bran and Jon be back, it won't be revealed until "Game of Thrones" season 6 airs next year.
