About the Author
King sold a short tale to the "Startling Mystery Stories" journal to launch his literary career. He worked as a high school English teacher at Hampden Academy in Maine. In his spare time, he wrote novels. He was able to pursue writing full-time in 1973 after Doubleday & Co. accepted his novel "Carrie" for publication.
Afterward, King authored and released over 50 books, making him one of the world's most successful authors. Currently, King and his wife, novelist Tabitha King, split their time between Maine and Florida. They have received recognition in their community for their charitable and library assistance and are engaged philanthropists.
