Jessica Alba is getting blonde for her role as Nancy in the upcoming "Sin City 2" film.
Alba, 31, recently posted a photo of her new long blond hair and blunt bangs which framed her dark eyes on Twitter.
"She got roots that Nancy," she tweeted Aug. 25.
According to WebProNews, because her locks are so long and thick, Alba going blond is quite a process; so far she's had at least two trips to the salon. But it's worth it to see the complete transformation onscreen, where she'll reprise the role of sweet, sexy Nancy.
She also tweeted a photo of her visiting a shooting range to hone her gun-toting skills for the role.
"What a way to start the day -training for a movie is sorta fun," she tweeted.
"Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" will release Oct. 13, 2013. Alba will star as Nancy Callahan. Mickey Rourke stars as Marv.
Other actresses have also went blonde recently.
Miley Cyrus gained huge publicity (and some criticism) for her new short blond haircut.
Cyrus first debuted her haircut to her 8.2 million followers on Twitter on Aug. 12.
"Self love is the greatest of all flatterers," Cyrus wrote one day later, underneath a headshot of her with the punky platinum cut, her nose ring, and dark red lips.
Former Nickelodeon star Amanda Bynes recently went blond. B&R writer Cole referred to her new hair and clothes style as "a radical new look, something of a cross between Ke$ha, Lindsay Lohan, and Miley Cyrus."
While hitting up an ATM in Studio City, Cali., Bynes, 26, showed off her newly bleached hair, which she paired with an American flag blouse, animal-print Daisy Dukes, and gold-studded black leather flats.
"Mad Men" star Elizabeth Moss has recently joined the blond-haired crew. She plays strait-laced Peggy Olsen on the hit AMC show, and was pictured at the screening of "For a Good Time Call..." last Tuesday with a new and rebellious hairdo, according to the New York Daily News.
Her hair was bleach-blond and super-short. But it won't stay for long.
Moss said when she returns to the "Mad Men" set, she'll be a brunette.
