Germany's Stephen Feck's dive might be the worst one in Olympic history.

According to reports, Feck finished dead last (No. 29 overall) in the preliminary round of Men's 3-meter Springboard Diving at the 2012 London Olympics and was eliminated from the competition on Monday.

The 22-year-old looked like he had a good jump from the board, but things quickly went bad when he was diving into the water.

Metro U.K. reported that after clearing the jumping part and while in the midst of a forward somersault, Feck lost grip on one of his legs, then lost momentum and landed on his back in the water.

The Aquatics Centre crowd immediately recognized the unfolding disaster, and let out a groan of pain as Feck hit the water back first.

And despite the diver appearing to be in some pain - emerging from the pool rubbing his back, Olympic judges showed the German no mercy, with each offering the jump a zero score to leave him without a point for the round.

To his credit, Feck emerged for another dive after the disaster, but subsequently withdrew from the competition.

Britain's Jack Laugher also failed to dive. He had a "knee buckle" on his final dive and his legs gave way, leaving him crashing to the pool with a puzzled look on his face, according to the Daily Mail.

The 17-year-old, who was the youngest competitor in the field, appeared to be wracked by nerves in his first Olympics which also ended with scores of zero.

A clearly distraught Laugher was left punching at the water as he finished 27th with a final score of 330 - more than 140 points below his international best.

Russia's Ilya Zakharov made the most of the mayhem to qualify first ahead of defending champion He Chong.
