The new "Skyfall" trailer is here.
In the trailer, James Bond, played by Daniel Craig, gets "killed," but returns to duty after the life of M (Judi Dench) is threatened.
Since Friday, the dapper MI6 agent helped the Queen kick off the 2012 London Olympics and starred in one of the best 30-second television spots to get released this year, reported the Huffington Post.
The New York Daily News explains the trailer:
- Special agent 007 fakes his death to take on the bad guys in "Skyfall," according to the new, two-minute-plus trailer for the upcoming action movie.
The film is Bond's 23rd big-screen adventure. It features Daniel Craig's blue-eyed MI6 agent going up against Javier Bardem - who appears to be channeling past 007 villain Christopher Walken by sporting elaborate blond locks.
The trailer also features more of Ralph Fiennes, along with the latest Bond beauty, French actress Bérénice Marlohe.
Not much else is revealed about the plot, which Sony has previously said involves a test of Bond's loyalty to M "as her past comes back to haunt her."
MI6 is attacked and "007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost," according to Sony. -
Oscar winner Sam Mendes directed "Skyfall," based on a screenplay by Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan.
One of the franchise's most beloved characters, Q, the master of spy technology at MI6 and a sharp comic foil for Agent 007, is returning in the upcoming movie, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Played by Ben Whishaw, Q will aid Bond's mission to help save MI6. Whishaw is much younger than the previous actors who played Q.
"Skyfall" is set to release in theaters Nov. 9.
