Carly Rae Jepsen Takes to Twitter to Defend Sex Tape Accusations: 'Obviously Not Me'

Carly Rae Jepsen is in the spotlight again, not for another catchy song like "Call Me Maybe," but for a sex tape and naked photos.

Jepsen took to her Twitter page to defend herself about a blurry sex tape that leaked online which blogger Perez Hilton claimed was her.

"Crazy morning. Discovered that someone put up a sex tape claiming to be me. Ridiculous. Obviously not me," Jepsen tweeted.

According to TMZ, the 26-year-old singer told police that she is the latest victim of a perverted hacker, who stole XXX photos of the singer from her computer and tried to sell them to various media outlets.

In earlier reports, naked photos of Jepsen were circling around the web, but it was found out to be fake pictures. The topless photos were of 21-year-old internet model Destiny Benedict, according to the Associated Press.

However, the photos that are in question are real and haven't been leaked, and she is trying to keep it that way.

Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Jepsen's camp received an anonymous tip about the photos back in March and immediately called the Vancouver Police Department to report the cyber crime.

Cops jumped on the case and confirmed the tip was legit, Jepsen had been hacked.

A rep for the Vancouver PD tells us an active investigation is underway "in regards to a theft of electronic property belonging to Jepsen."

It looks like all is still well for Jepsen. The Associated Press reported that the singer is appearing to be having an extremely good time in a new video "Good Time," which she teamed up with American band Owl City. She is driving along with friends in a car laughing and singing in the feel-good summer tune.

Jepsen said, "This song is pure, sweet summer. Big thanks to producer Adam Young for letting me sing on it. I hope it makes people smile. Abandon all plans and take an impromptu road trip!"

Her hit single "Call Me Maybe" is still #1 on the U.S. record chart for a seventh week, Billboard.com reported.
