Motorola has announced that new phones will be unveiled during its July 28 launch event. One of which is reportedly the Moto G 2015, which was leaked twice in the past two days. For a while now, rumor mills have also been fond of churning info about the mid-ranger.
Techno Buffalo recently spotted a listing made by Indian import and export site Zauba. There, it was revealed that the third generation Moto G will come with 2GB RAM. Interestingly, speculators are at odds on this aspect as earlier rumors claim it will retain its predecessor's 1GB RAM.
An analysis of the listing also revealed that 190 units of the Moto G 2015 has now landed in India, all ready for testing. The device came with a white edition and a black version. The pricing in the leak indicated that the former will be a touch pricier than the latter although the handset should not cost higher than $240.
Zauba also listed the new Moto G to sport 8GB of storage space and a 5-inch display, as what previous rumors claim. A recent leak, this time by a Spanish retailer called fnac, provided more details about the upcoming device's specs sheet.
GSM Arena has found a dedicated page for the Moto G, which reveals tons of new info about the smartphone. The publication, however, updates that the site no longer cites the same specs, adding that they were altered to match those claimed by rumors.
Before it was unchanged, the fnac listing of Motorola's newest mid-range offering stated that the device will come with 2GB RAM, which is double that of what the previous entries in the series had. It also listed that it will house a Qualcomm Snapdragon 610 processor and will be priced at 199 euros.
The common belief before this listing emerged was that the third gen Motorola mid-ranger will be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor. With a shocking turn of events, fnac changed the information on its page to reflect that.
As for the rest of the speculations, GSM Arena reports that the Moto G 2015 will get a major upgrade in the camera department, with the primary shooter expected to go from 8 megapixels to 13 megapixels. The 2-megapixel selfie snapper will be boosted to 5 megapixels.
Whether or not the Moto G 2015 will see a bump in RAM and chipset, fans won't know until Motorola kicks off its launch event in New York, Sao Paolo and New Delhi on July 28.
