New Protagonists and Mechanics

The upcoming 14th major installment of the "Assassin's Creed" franchise offers fans a deeper dive into its world. Set in Japan during 1579, during the Sengoku period's upheaval, players will embody two protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, an Iga shinobi assassin and an African samurai, respectively. Initially driven by revenge, their journey suggests a narrative of growing camaraderie.

New gameplay mechanisms, including crawling and character switching, are planned to improve the main plot experience in feudal Japan. The art book will explore that aspect and more in great detail.

Exciting news also awaits fans. Gematsu reported that Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot confirmed that multiple older games from the franchise are getting remakes. These remakes are intended as updates and reinterpretations of some of the older titles in the series that still have high-quality game worlds. Guillemot said it is an effort to create a more diverse range of Assassin's Creed games, including more specific and compact games and huge elaborate games.
