Has a star admitted to seeing the script of "Fifty Shades of Grey?"
If this is true, it can only mean that producers Michael de Luca and Dana Brunetti have picked a screenwriter.
According to TheStir.CafeMom.com, "True Blood" actor Alexander Skarsgard recently admitted that he would play the much coveted role of Christian Grey.
And when asked about that possibility by ET Canada, Skarsgard, 36, responded with, "Of course. It's a great script."
He then said there are "so many variables" when it comes to taking the role and added, "It depends on who's directing it and who's in it." This means that Skarsgard is considering taking the part if offered to him.
The "Fifty Shades" trilogy ("Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker," "Fifty Shades Freed"), written by bestselling author E.L. James, tells the story of 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with 27-year old sexy billionaire Christian Grey, and both explore Christian's world of BDSM while trying to understand their complicated relationship.
This is not the first time Skarsgard had said he wanted to play Christian. He was one of the first to say that he wanted to play the lead role when the "Fifty Shades" movie got a lot of buzz.
"Where do I sign," Skarsgard said, reported by Cafemom.com "He's got a sex chamber? My character [Eric Northman] has that on 'True Blood.' He's got a little dungeon. I was born to play that part."
However, at the HBO panel at Comic-Con 2012 San Diego, he revealed that he has not heard news on the film adaption of the steamy novel, nor has he been offered a casting part as Christian Grey.
"I haven't read the book and I haven't seen a script," said the "True Blood" actor, according to Deadline.
Some things are getting confusing at this point. Only the producers and James herself really know what's going on here.
Skarsgard has some big competition though.
Fitness guru Jessie Pavelka recently said that he wanted to play Christian Grey.
When asked how he feels about his fans thinking he is the perfect Christian Grey, he said, "I think it's great and I'm extremely flattered. It's amazing how social media has changed the game in T.V. and Film. If this would have happened a few years back, I don't think that my name would be in the mix at all. I am lucky to be involved in the beginning stages of it all."
He joked about his dream role, "Christian Grey of course! Jk, I can't say that because I haven't seen the script. The artist in me wants a role that will challenge me (not that CG wouldn't). I like a character that goes on a journey."
