Things weren't looking so bright after Kristen Stewart apologized for cheating on her boyfriend of three years Robert Pattinson with "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.
Now, Pattinson will make his first public appearance after the shocking scandal.
Access Hollywood reported that the "Twilight" actor will appear on "The Daily Show" on Monday, Aug. 13, a spokesperson for Comedy Central confirmed to Access on Tuesday.
He is expected to promote his new film, "Cosmopolis."
This will be Robert's second appearance on the show, with his first occuring in March 2010.
Pattinson, 26, will also make a second appearance for a sit-down interview on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, Aug.15.
According to ABC News, the "GMA" appearance will be a live interview. There is no word yet on who will be asking the questions to Pattinson, but he will be there to promote "Cosmopolis."
Pattinson has managed to stay off the radar after the devastating news.
According to MTV, "Cosmopolis" is David Cronenberg's adaptation of a Don DeLillo novel about a 28-year-old Gatsby-esque billionaire (Eric Packer, played by Pattinson) whose attempt to get a haircut spins wildly out of control. It largely takes place inside Packer's white stretch limo as it makes its way across Manhattan and he takes stock of his life.
Back in May, a smiling Stewart, 22, gushed over her boyfriend's new performance.
"He's so good in it!" Stewart told MTV News about Pattinson's performance. "He's really, really [good]. I don't even know how he [did it]. I couldn't even understand it. It's so good, it's so cool, I'm so proud of him. Thank God."
Now that their relationship looks torn in pieces, according to RadarOnline.com, Stewart was banished from attending Pattinson's "Cosmopolis" premiere on Aug. 13.
Security staff has been told to keep Stewart, 22, away from the red carpet and after party for the premiere, in fear she may use it as an excuse to speak with Pattinson in person.
The film's movie bosses are also wary of the media storm it would cause and don't want her appearance distracting the public from the movie.
"Despite the fact Robert and Kristen have been communicating by cell phone, she will not be at the 'Cosmopolis' New York premiere," a source said.
"The decision was made because Robert just doesn't want to see her. There were fears that she could use it as a chance to talk to him in person and that sort of drama is not wanted at the premiere.
"There's also the fact that if she did attend, it would distract from the film premiere itself and the movie bosses are not interested in that sort of publicity."
"Cosmopolis" will be in theaters Aug. 17.
