The seventh book in Jeff Kinney's "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" series is coming out on Nov. 13 in the U.S., and protagonist Greg Heffley might be getting a love interest.
The series' publisher, Amulet Books of Abrams Books, announced the book's release date at the Bologna Children's Book Fair in Italy, Publishers Weekly reported.
Kinney was present at the event, where teaser art for the book was unveiled.
The art shows Greg Heffley with a bow and arrows with hearts on them -- and three girls who look terrified. The art includes the line "Love is in the air."
Kinney said that either Heffley or his buddy, Rowley Jefferson, will get a love interest, PW reported. There will also be a school dance taking place.
"I've only written about a third of it," he said, PW reported. "And I haven't drawn a single picture yet. But it's all in my head and on my phone."
Kinney spoke about the success his series -- which consists so far of six books and additional activity books and movie tie-ins -- has seen over the years. It started off as an online storyon the website FunBrain.com. The first hardcover book in the series was published in 2007.
"I've been really overwhelmed by the worldwide reception to the books," Kinney said, according to PW. "This is my chance to say thank you. I'm still having a lot of fun with the books, and there are still a lot of stories to tell."
