A U.K. version of the "On the Road" trailer is here.
According to Digital Spy, the film, which premiered in May at the Cannes Film Festival, is due out in U.K. cinemas on Oct. 12.
The latest two-minute "On the Road" trailer, which debuted through MSN, features several scenes not present in the first promo video, which premiered a couple months before the Cannes Film Festival.
"On the Road," directed by Walter Salles, is a film adaption based on Jack Kerouac's acclaimed Beat generation novel.
The movie stars Kristen Stewart as Marylou, Sam Riley as Sal Paradise, and Garrett Hedlund as Dean Moriarty.
The movie's website describes:
Just after his father's death, Sal Paradise, an aspiring New York writer, meets Dean Moriarty, a devastatingly charming ex-con, married to the very liberated and seductive Marylou. Sal and Dean bond instantly. Determined not to get locked in to a constricted life, the two friends cut their ties and take to the road with Marylou. Thirsting for freedom, the three young people head off in search of the world, of other encounters, and of themselves.
Written by Jose Rivera, "On the Road" tells the story of Sal, who sets off on a cross country journey expressing the restless energy and desire for freedom that makes people rush out to see the world. Sal's friend Dean inspires Sal to see America, described by Firstshowing.net.
Speaking about her role as free spirit Marylou, "Twilight" star Stewart said that she was adamant about doing risqué sex scenes in the film, according to Digital Spy.
"To watch genuine experience on screen is just so much more interesting," she said. "I wanted to do it. The reason I want to do the job is because you read something and you're provoked on some level. It's just taking that further and being able to live it."
The upcoming film also stars Viggo Mortensen, Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Elisabeth Moss, and Alice Braga.
AMC Networks, IFC Films and Sundance Selects have partnered to acquire and distribute "On the Road," which is set to release late fall this year.
