Who will be Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele?
This is the question that is on every fan's mind as they wait for the upcoming movie "Fifty Shades of Grey" to come out.
In the latest "Fifty Shades" news, "The Vampire Diaries" stars and real life couple Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev seem to the frontrunning pair who should play the key roles in the film adaption based on E.L. James' bestselling steamy novel.
The stars stopped by the 'Extra at Comic-Con' stage to talk about the rumors that they might star in the movie, during Comic-Con 2012 San Diego.
Somerhalder said, "I can't imagine Universal doing that, but that would be very interesting."
Dobrev added, "I think if people saw us in '50 Shades of Grey' they'd just see Elena and Damon." She plays Elena on "The Vampire Diaries and Somerhalder plays Damon.
According to Wet Paint, back in May she told MTV, "I think it's best for any of the actors on The Vampire Diaries to kind of do their own things and create new characters." Otherwise, "fans will... see me as Elena and they'll see him as Damon if we do a film together."
So what should Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele look like?
According to People Magazine, "Ana describes herself in the first book of the steamy trilogy as 'a pale, brown-haired girl with blue eyes too big for her face.' She's clumsy and awkward but very beautiful - though she clearly doesn't see that herself. Of course, Christian does, and he's not shy about complimenting her 'beautiful skin, pale and flawless.'" She also has a slim figure, which he's not shy about appreciating.
Anastasia is a 21-year-old recent college graduate. She's innocent and unsuspecting about Christian's intentions, but she quickly opens her mind to the unusual sexual tastes of Christian, who is loves the world of S&M, where he is the dominator.
How do people see Christian Grey? According to The Urban Daily, in an interview with actress Keke Palmer, who said, "I can't really see anyone who's hot right now playing the role. When I imagine Christian Grey, I think of a younger Brad Pitt-very dreamy, romantic and masculine."
Gather Entertainment wrote, "Christian shouldn't be played by a well-known actor, but an unknown one with a lot of sex appeal."
"Christian definitely needs to be clean-cut, but extremely sexy when disheveled," Alison Genet of Twifans.com told MTV News. "I wouldn't choose a man that is overly chiseled. No juicehead gorillas need apply. Hair that can be neatly brushed, but when playing, it's loose and wild like Johnny Depp hair. Not super short."
Genet of Twifans.com said that Ryan Gosling would be a great choice for Christian Grey, saying that Gosling's undeniable charm could make him the perfect Christian Grey: "Ryan Gosling, Ryan Gosling, and Ryan Gosling. Imagining him in jeans hung low on the hip," according to MTV.
The race is steadily moving on. Let's see what "Fifty Shades" news will come up next.
