To some of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans, there might be a face to go with the fantasies of the most wanted man by all females' in the world right now, Christian Grey.
Academics of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) have published the first possible image of the dark mysterious character of Christian, according to IBTimes.
Dr. Faye Skelton, who is a lecturer in UCLan's School of Psychology, put together an "e-fit," which is a computer-generated facial composite, based on descriptions from 12 women of the mental image they have of Christian Grey, who is one of the main characters in E.L. James erotic sequel.
According to IBTimes, most of the descriptions described were comparisons with famous movie stars, which might make the casting easier for the upcoming movie. The image was created using EVOFit system, a software system that helps victims and witnesses of crime generate an image of a criminal's face.
"This was just a bit of fun, but it does show the quality of image we can now generate. While we didn't use it in this case, UCLan's EVOFit system is even more advanced and is already used by police forces across the world thanks to its high success rate," Dr. Skelton stated.
"While we don't want to intrude on anyone's fantasies, based on a small sample of women, this is the image of Christian Grey they have in their heads when reading the novels. Personally, I think he's quite handsome - although everyone's interpretation will be different," she added.
"Fifty Shades of the Grey" recently became the fastest adult paperback novel to sell one million print copies, according to the BBC. The steamy novel focuses on 22-year-old recent college grad Anastasia Steele, who enters into a dominant/submissive sexual relationship with a billionaire named Christian Grey.
With the image released, fans might get more excited and anxious over who will play 27-year-old Christian.
In previous reports, it was said that 2011 sexiest man on the planet Ryan Gosling is being tipped to play the S&M billionaire, according to Entertainment Wise. He is in the forefront of becoming the sexy billionaire that everyone wants.
"The role of the sadomasochistic billionaire seems to be man-of-the-moment Ryan Gosling's to turn down. But the 'Drive' star may take some persuading," The Sun newspaper claimed.
Some fans already know how they want their Christian Grey to look in the movie, which is in development.
"Christian definitely needs to be clean-cut, but extremely sexy when disheveled," Alison Genet of Twifans.com told MTV News. "I wouldn't choose a man that is overly chiseled. No juicehead gorillas need apply. Hair that can be neatly brushed, but when playing, it's loose and wild like Johnny Depp hair. Not super short."
