Stan Lee to Publish Graphic Novel via William Shatner's Comic Book Imprint

William Shatner, best known by sci-fi buffs and geeks as Captain James T. Kirk from the original "Star Trek" series, will launch his very own comic book imprint called "Shatner Singularity," and fans would love to know that its debut release will be a comic book written by the Marvel legend Stan Lee.

According to Deadline, the imprint will publish in LNL, which Shatner partnered with back in 1996 for a cinematic graphic novel adaptation of "Man 'o War." The aforementioned site says that LNL prints in hybrid cinematic graphic novel format, which has both motion comics and traditional comics.

Via the imprint, Shatner will also release his own graphic novels. At the moment though, not much is known about the complete lineup of inaugural releases. But fans giddy to know more will be treated with news about Shatner Singularity at the upcoming Comikaze Expo on Nov. 1.

According to AV Club, Lee and Shatner themselves will get together in one stage to do a panel and inform fans of what to expect of their collaboration in the said three-day event, which is being held annually at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

"The team at LNL Partners has enjoyed the privilege of working directly with these two legendary industry icons to deliver to fans worldwide Cinematic Graphic Novels, a new and innovative way to enjoy comic book entertainment," LNL co-owner Mariano Nicieza said via Comic Book Resources.

"Publishing Stan Lee and his newest literary work under the imprint adds yet another level of tremendous excitement to the Shatner Singularity brand," Nicieza went on to say, promising that more info should trickle in soon.

According to Digital Spy, Shatner Singularity and the Shatner-Lee team-up was first teased earlier this month. By that time, things were even more tightly under wraps. But now that the Halloween weekend is nearing and the Comikaze is almost set, details started to ooze.

When fans heard about the Lee and Shatner duo, many ultimately believed that more geeky dreams will be given life. Lee, being the creator of some of the most popular comic book characters today including  the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and Spider-Man, needs no introduction.

Meanwhile, Shatner, who, apart from being the Captain James T. Kirk fans know and adore has professed his love for pop culture whenever he has the chance. With his own comic book imprint, the actor definitely gets to allow his geeky self shine all the way through.
