George RR Martin has released a new book. Sadly, it's not "Winds of Winter" but it is a volume that will, nevertheless, take readers back to Westeros, but not as fans of the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series know the land.

The new book is titled "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," a collection of three novellas set 90 years before the events in the writer's bestselling saga. These stories follow Ser Duncan the Tall and Aegon Targaryen better known as Dunk and Egg.

As fans may have already heard, Targaryen who is predestined to sit in the Iron Throne and become king one day happens to be the great-grandfather of the mother of dragons herself Daenerys.

The three novellas in the collection are titled "The Hedge Knight," "The Sworn Sword" and "The Mystery Knight." The 67-year-old novelist also provided a brief overview of the titles. "They chronicle the adventures of the hedge knight called Ser Duncan the Tall and his young squire Egg as they travel across the Seven Kingdoms," Martin wrote his blog called Not A Blog.

According to Bustle, these books have all been printed before but this will be the first time they are bound together in the same book jacket, "so you no longer need to track down three separate (and in some cases, out of print) books," as Martin suggested in his blog.

Martin added that there's an extra treat for those buying "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" will get an extra treat in the form of "stunning, evocative, lovely illustration" by Gary Gianni, who Martin "was so taken with the stories that he said he declined to do just the half-dozen pieces we originally asked for, insisting instead that he be allowed to illustrate the entire book.

"A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms" is priced £10 in Amazon UK and is $10 on Amazon US. The book is already at the top of the epic fantasy bestseller list on both territories, proving the love for Martin's stories. It is expected that when "Winds of Winter" comes, next year as per rumors, the author's fans are going to storm into bookstores the minute it becomes available.

As reported by Books & Review, a Polish translator named Michał Jakuszewski hinted that the much-awaited sixth volume will be ready for translation by November of December, with Zysk publishing requesting his services to convert the book into Polish by yearend.
