Karen Klein, The Bullied School Bus Monitor, Gets More than 500K in Donations

The nation has been outraged since news broke of Karen Klein, the 68-year-old bus monitor, who was taunted and called all kinds of horrible names by the middle school students she watched over. We came to know of Klein and what she had quietly endured after a student on the bus shot a video of one of the abusive incidents and posted it on YouTube.

The verbal abuse was so atrocious, it not only sparked the ire of people around the world, it also compelled them to make a donation to a campaign that one outraged person started on the fundraising site www.indiegogo.com. In just a couple of days, Klein has received more than $518,000 in contributions for what the organizer would be a dream vacation. But it looks like Klein can pay for more than a vacation now.

As for the kids who used profanity laden words to describe Klein, they have said they are sorry. But one can only wonder if they are truely sorry or just sorry that they got caught.

Some of the things, the kids say to Klein are too hurtful and obscene to print but you can see and hear for yourself. Breaks your heart.
